We love you so.
Sometimes too much.
It is so easy to develop a tech habit. You know, checking your facebook page or instagram account every free moment you get. Checking email 32 times a day.
I have found the only way to stop myself (and kids) from spending countless unproductive hours on the internet is to set up some rules.
So here are ours:
No technology at the dinner table. Talk to each other about your day – we talk about the best part of everyone’s day, tell a joke or 2, talk about what is going on tomorrow.
No technology when going out to dinner. Enjoy being out together, play tic tac toe, hangman, talk about which dessert looks best.
We have time constraints for the kids every day – 30 minutes Mon-Fri and 2 hours on the weekend.
My husband and I don’t put time limits on ourselves, but I make it a point to only be on my laptop once or twice a day. I only check social media 2-3 times throughout the day.
